Spring Returns to the Ridge

Yesterday, in the first intoxicating shimmers of spring I went around to my flower beds, kneeling on the damp earth, the smell of the soil rising up, a scent that is both memory and promise.

There is a specific, quiet joy in clearing away the debris of winter, I hazard that you know it well, making space for the new growth already pushing through. As I puttered I felt a vast peace and a heavy gold settle in my chest—the signature of a nervous system in rest and joy. This isn’t a constant state of peace, but a trust that while old wounds and conditioning follow a natural cycle of blooming forth to be healed, I know the terrain of  the ground with which to meet them.

Standing on the back deck, I watch the sun crest the ridge and move across the valley toward the pond, the red-winged blackbird’s trill a signature of good news,  of effortless return.

I have been in this work for ten years now, and with 3,000+ clinical hours, I have learned the slow, deliberate craft of guiding others into this same state of settled authority. I join my clients in the psychic terrain where their reactive wounding finally meets a redemptive love.

We co-regulate within the stillness until the body remembers how to relax and align. This is why I have walked with the same individual clients in this practice for 5, 7, and even 10 years each week.  We are building an internal architecture that knows, in the very cells and synapses of the body, how to ease back into the bulk of silent ground within, regardless of the external storm.

And there are storms. Inner and outer. This is the way of life. The power we hold is learning, through gentle and persistent attention, how to return to the vast silence within, again and again.

The land is humming now; the sap rising in the maples pulls the same in me,  and I see the heavy swelling of the buds against a soft layering of clear sky and clouds. In this ancient roll of spring across the land, I am opening space for 3 new clients this March to begin the journey of Growing an Adult Presence. This is an invitation for those ready to move past the noise and inhabit their own unshakeable ground. If you feel the resonance of this sacred call, I invite you to meet me in the silence.

P.S. If you are ready to find the immovable anchor within your own being, please email me at evangelinefsarat@gmail.com for more information or click here to schedule a Foundational Session. Let us begin where the noise of the world ends.
